This is an amalgam of many reels showing the marching band called the Marching Aztecs, probably during different football games at halftime, lining up and marching and spelling out "beer" and "SDSU" (San Diego State University before the name was official), "NCAF," "TGIF," "Aztecs," and so forth. The long viewpoint is probably from the top of the canyon in which the Aztec Bowl was situated, and the black and white film has a lot of gray on the earliest reel. The long view gives way to slow zooms and closeups of the band director standing on a ladder to direct the members clustered around him, and to drum majors, cheerleaders and baton twirlers going through their routines.
