Trade cards, also known as advertising cards were popular collectibles in the latter half of the 19th century. They advertised a wide range of manufactured goods and often contain a separate advertisement for the local seller of the product.

The collection contains 62 posters, broadsides, and advertisements related to the Chicano movement. The materials are from the early 1970s through the 1980s.

Arturo Casares Papers 1968-2008

Old Globe Theatre Photograph Collection
The Old Globe Theatre opened for the 1935-36 California Pacific International Exposition on May 29, 1935, and is California's oldest professional theater. Digitized here are photographs of the annual Shakespeare Festival, first celebrated in 1949.

A collection of alternative and underground newspapers connected to San Diego State University. The project was conducted by by Leo Stezano as an internship for an MSLIS degree at Syracuse University (IST-971).

SDSU Student Newspapers
The independent student newspaper. The collection starts with the first edition of the newspaper titled the Normal News in 1913 and continues through the current Daily Aztec. New issues are added approximately twice per year.
World War II Servicemen's Correspondence Collection, 1941-1945
A collection of approximately 5,000 original letters sent by San Diego State students on active duty in the armed forces during World War II, or their families, to Professor Lauren Post who compiled and distributed the Aztec News Letter.
Asa Sackman Diaries
This collection consists of seven manuscript diaries written while Asa Sackman, a private age 22, was serving in the 44th Regiment of the Union Army during the American Civil War. The diaries were scanned and partially described by Addison Griede.
