The student organization shows how ready men at San Diego State University are to fight. This video dates from 1942-1943, and has no sound. In the first part, men pour, running, out of the Main Quad through the arch between the portales of Hepner Hall. In the second part, "Arms and Legs for Offense," men are shown doing exercises in place. In "Preparing for Greater Obstacles, men run an obstacle course. "Weaponless Maneuvers" show men in a field from which Hepner Hall is visible, practicing unarmed combat demonstrated by an instructor on a platform. "While on Another Field, Precision Prevails" shows instructors guiding exercises with men in rows. "For touch now, for keeps later" shows scrimmaging. "Running toward victory" shows men running on a dirt road" into a canyon. A little pigskin fun before the big pigskinning" is a color section of football teams at play, including some in slow motion. In "Relay Means Teamwork; Teamwork Means Victory," a short relay is set up across the width of the football field, after which small groups pass a man around. "The General Staff" introduces coaches and other involved with physical training, but no names are shown. "Where Do They Come From, the Axis May Ask" shows men running in formation in the bleachers of Aztec Bowl. Names finally appear in the next segment, "Lt. [lieutenant] Comdr. [Commander Leo] Calland details Lt. Craney to assist with "Physical Fitness P.E. [Physical Education] Program, in which a uniformed officer shakes hands with a university official and then shakes hands with a lineup of men in white singlets and pants. In "Tony Ghio and Bob Menke win the Drill Contest," two men stand in front of the lineup in the last segment, and uniformed officers shake hands with them. In the last intertitle, "A.M.S. [Associated Men Students] Officers 1942-1943" are named: "President: Jim Adler, Vice President: Jim Dall; Secretary: Hud East; Treasurer: Herb Blossom." After that, five men are shown standing with "The Aztec" sculpture in the Main Quad, followed by a United States flag flying by itself (the 48-star flag).
