The interviewer is not named. Altman went to school at the Normal School campus and moved to the Mission Palisades (Montezuma Mesa) in 1930. She describes public transportation to the campuses when few people had automobiles. She received her Bachelor's degree in history at San State Teacher's College in 1933 and a Bachelor of Science from University of Southern California in 1938.
