Guest conductor Carlos Chavez conducts Buxtehude's "Chaconne in E Minor" (orchestrated by Chavez), starting without commentary at the beginning of this sound file, and ending at around six minutes. Beethoven's "Symphony No. 4 in B Flat" is next, beginning at around 8 minutes, but at 11 minutes what sounds like print-through from the original tape begins, and what follows is mixed forward and backwards music. At around 55 minutes the sound quality appears to improve, as the orchestra plays Albéniz's "Iberia suite," which lasts till about 1 hour and 9 minutes. This is followed by Chavez's "Sinfonia India" at about 1 hour and 10 minutes, ending at about 1 hour and 39 minutes, but with applause after a section at about 1 hour and 26 minutes. Some of the percussion instruments might be the Aztec instruments called for in Chavez's score.
