Students and faculty of the Normal School sit in a makeshift assembly hall in the downtown Hill Block Building temporary location of the campus. The Normal School was located in the Hill Block Building while the campus buildings in University Heights were constructed. Back of original photograph identifies several students and faculty, including President Black sitting in the front on the right.
