"Stop Briggs!" and "Gay & free me" signs at Pride parade, 1978

Unidentified people march in tight formation like a protest, some clapping as they pass the San Diego Bindery. The sign "Stop Briggs!" is a reference to Proposition 6, sponsored by John Briggs, that would have banned gay and lesbian teachers and barred any positive reference in the curriculum to homosexuality. This print has damage from light exposure as well as deterioration at top and bottom.
