The purple and pink costume with the feathered headdress shown here are the hallmarks of the "Gay Bird," who appeared annually in the Pride parade. The bird is in front of the San Diego Chicken Pie Shop Restaurant on Fifth Avenue. This is the end of the parade route at Robinson Avenue.
