An unidentified person sets up the tent. Jess Jessop's AIDS quilt panel (he had died of AIDS earlier this year) is in the background at right, with his signature line at top, "Yours In The Struggle." The Archives was originally called the Lesbian and Gay Archives of San Diego and became the Gay and Lesbian and Gay Historical Society of San Diego before becoming the Lambda Archives.
