The caption "View in East Creek- 3 miles east..." is handwritten on the album paper next to this photograph, pasted in the center of page 4. There was more to the text, but the central part of it is missing. East Creek flows southwesterly about three miles east of the mining camp and intersects with Flint Creek about the same distance south.
