Although the title of this photograph as pasted in the album is "August '66," the developer's mark in the right margin is "Jan 1967" indicating January 1967, but given activity in other photographs, the later date probably does not reflect when the photograph was taken. This photograph is in an album dedicated to the construction of the Aztec Center student union from 1966 to 1968, when it opened on June 1. Here a front loading tractor is preparing to place bits of broken pavement from road removal behind it onto the truck on the left side of the road.
