Clemson, Helen
Ensign Clemson says that with two hours of reporting for duty on Christmas Eve she received an Aztec News Letter, a service that "certainly beat Santa Claus." She is writing on stationery from the Hollenden hotel in Cleveland, Ohio, a reminder that hotels, schools, resorts and other buildings were often requisitioned by the United States government as barracks.
