Chase likes the idea of the "Service Men's Panel" and wants to receive back issues of the newsletter and Aztec newspaper. The hotel in West Palm Beach lasted four days in contrast to Bachelor Officers Quarters ("BOQ") with a thatched roof. He wishes he'd studied instead of flunking French, and he tells stories of life and culture in North Africa.
