Chase, Lionel E.
Chase uses a Victory Mail form not sent as the usual microfilm. Landing for fuel he discovered Griff Williams's group, but "it sure hurt to learn he was 'M.I.A.'" (missing in action). Hoping to get leave and return to San Diego, he says warn the cafe "to save up coffee." They used "Midnight Requisition" methods (raids on Army equipment and supplies) to obtain materials for 25 gallons of "Chocolate Ice Cream!"
