Chace, Haile
Chace and 13 other trainees live in "tin huts" to take classes and "laboratory work" from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. weekdays to use torpedo boats. He compares these "rough and wet" boats to "riding a jeep in a rain storm." After two months they will "either go out as a replacement or go to a new squadron for shake down cruise." He would really appreciate receiving the Aztec News Letter since there is no one else from San Diego State College available.
