Casteel, James S.
The censor of this letter has used scissors to excise what else is on the island where Casteel is that helps to identify it aside from mosquitoes, "lizards, mud, bugs (creeping, crawling, and flying)." He "has seen as high as $30.00 paid for a quart of spirits--if it can be gotten!" He wonders if Coca-Cola, eggs, and steaks are rationed in the United States as Japanese propaganda says. He would "rather have mail than an issue of 'K.' ration!"
