Casad, Paul W.
Casad types on airmail stationery. He cannot say where he is but thinks Charles Cannon is there as well. The censor cut out a phrase after "This is." He mentions being a "shellback," meaning he has crossed the equator at sea and endured a ceremony "very similar to a frat[ernity] initiation." He would like addresses for Anthony Ghio, Ray Gellein, and F. J. Goffrey.
Paul Casad; P. W. Casad; Charles Cannon; F. J. Goffrey; United States Navy; Shellbacks; Line-crossing ceremonies; Fraternity initiations; Ray Gellein; Anthony S. Ghio; Military censorship.
