Carr, Charles Alfred
Carr refers to a feature of Esquire, a men's magazine, "Stars in the service." He says he is "with the outfit which set a new record for Anti-aircraft in the early days of the current campaign." His brother Jack is in the "Raider Battalion," resting at the moment while "snowing the boots" (exaggerating his exploits to new arrivals). He has seen Jack Edwards and, avoiding censorship, says he is where Don Owen was stationed, in a combat zone.
