Carman, Barney R.
The USS Lexington has "had no mail exchange for a month." George Worthington has left the ship. "Things have been pretty busy, lately": attack on Wake Island in October, the Battle of Tarawa in November. They are probably refueling around Apamama. He will be glad when he can "look back at these experiences." He got a letter from Sunday Durland (wounded in action), hopes "it all turns out 'o.k.' for him."
