Byrne, Charles T.
Byrne explains the mission of his new station, "a former golf club" that will act as a "replacement station" for graduates of Merchant Marine training. They will also be in charge of points of embarkation at both Portland and Seattle. His wife will have sent the "first batch of 'In the Service' clippings." Vic Howard was left behind shipping "the furniture and equipment" but will soon be transferred.
