Abel, Ray L.
Abel asks for the address of Tom Chavis and encloses an air mail stamp. He thinks Chavis may be at the same site. He also sends a "hello" to Clarence Osborn. Handwritten notes in pencil give the tentative date and say to "Ans[wer]" and "Ans[wer] by Air Mail." If the date of December 1943 pencilled in is correct, Abel has just returned from the Battle of Guadalcanal to San Diego with his Marine Aircraft Group 23.
