Witt, Charles M.
"(Passed by censor)" was probably noted because Witt gives the origin of his ship, United States Ship Surprise. Once Her Majesty's Ship Heliotrope, it went to the United States Navy in March 1942. Many at San Diego State College are at aircraft manufacturing plants, and he asks if Lauren Post has been to see the Army camp on Kearny Mesa. Witt was killed in action during the war.
