Thacher, Philip Storer, Jr.
The Aztec Service Men's News Letter is "just like money from home!" Thacher writes. There are so many from San Diego State College in the armed forces it "looks like State is going to win the war by itself." Dick Farwell, Glenn Holmes, and Claude Kisher were in Hawaii the last time he was, but he is "green with envy" over those stationed in San Diego. His cruiser is called the "Mad Dog of the Pacific," he writes, so what is a destroyer?
