Shepard, Dodd V.
Now that his squadron has a combat rating, they are ready "to really do business in a very big way with Hitler, The Moose [Mussolini], or the well-known Yellow Bellies [derogatory for Japanese]." Shepherd flies a Republic P-47 Thunderbolt, flying "30,000 feet or above" and "in the neighborhood of 550 miles per hour," capable of diving faster than the speed of sound. He tells Lauren Post to "Keep Em Mailing."
