The gates of Fort Riley are pictured on Nakadate's stationery on which he thanks the Aztec News Letter editor for the newsletters and newspapers. In one Aztec newspaper he read about Harwood's work with tarantulas, and he asks how Harwood's hand is where a tarantula bit him.
