Murphy, John H.
Murphy writes to Yvette Magagnose on his stationery as a lieutenant in the United States Army Air Corps. He says he knows little about others from San Diego State College outside the San Diego newspapers his mother sends. He gives details of his service starting with his commission in February 1942, his learning to fly B-24s (made in San Diego by Consolidated), and the ending of his training this very morning, on his way to Fort Myers.
