Larabee, Mrs. G.B.
Writing from La Mesa just east of San Diego, Mrs. Larabee sends news from Giles of his promotion and his enjoyment of the San Diego State College newsletter to affiliates in the armed forces. He is on the United States Ship Concord (CL-10), which was at San Diego when World War 2 began. The ship became part of the Southeast Pacific Force with duties escorting unarmed ships.
