Writing on U. S. Naval Training Station memorandum paper, Ensign Kemp apologizes for his typing, adding "I'm not too handy with this thing." While his newsletter was sent to his home address because he hadn't yet been assigned to any duty, the duty to which he was being assigned was as "Postal Officer." So his wife tells him that it is "full of interesting items," but he hasn't seen it yet.
