DeVore would "give my right arm to be back" at San Diego State College, despite his previous skepticism about servicemen's appreciation of the newsletter. He is sorry to hear about the death of Tom Cozens, a fraternity brother and "a close friend." Also mentioned are Jack Doyle and a man named Bush at his training camp who had a rifle discharge and kill someone.
