Missing newsletters 1-3, Davies would like copies to remind him of "the happy days at State." Until he reports to Harvard, he works as assistant to the Commissary Officer. He met Sheridan Gorton, and California men and some "fellow alumni of U.C." (University of California), but not many from San Diego State College. Davies died on August 24, 1943 around Espiritu Santu while in service.
