Chavis, Thomas N.
Chavis's letter has a round hand stamp reading "passed by censor" on the back, a reminder that all outgoing mail was censored and any passages revealing secret positions or information literally cut out. He mentions "Wally" McAnulty in a rather cryptic message about "native daughters" and a "(censored) tribe." Otherwise his letter is full of praise for Lauren Post and the newsletter.
