This illustration of Los Angeles from a height includes the tower of City Hall in the center. The fronts of houses show only in the foreground, with the background near the horizon obscured by smog or fog. This card has a divided back and was made in Germany, meaning that it must have been produced between 1907 (when messages were first allowed on the address side) and around 1914 (when World War I started and Unted States cards stopped being made in Germany). There are two copies of this run of postcards in this collection because both copies had information on the backs.
