These were the first trackless trolleys in the United States. Built by Charles Spencer Mann in 1910 (another source says 1913), they ran from a Sunset Boulevard streetcar stop to the bottom of Lookout Mountain Avenue where the Laurel Tavern (owned by Mann) served lunch. The back of this card looks exactly like the back of PC-001-262, except that the merger of Los Angeles Pacific and Pacific Electric railways (1911) had not taken place yet, and this card is from the Pacific Electric railway, which connected with these trolleys for part of the Balloon Route Trolley Trip, promoted in the message panel. Two numbers are on the back for the publisher: 3455 and 14417.
