The homes of Hollywood movie stars have traditionally been in and around Beverly Hills, California, and they have been the objects of tours and the subjects of postcards. In this case the actor is Will Rogers (1879-1935), a prominent humorist, vaudevillian, and writer. There are two numbers on the card, one at the top with the title (813), and one on the back. The number on the back of the card is A-89321, though unacknowledged, belongs to Curt Teich. According to the guide maintained by the Curt Teich Postcard Archives, the number indicates the year 1922.
