Reyes, P. V., Avalon, California
Edgar M. Harrison (1886-1926) was known for the length of time and the depth to which he could dive. On the back of the card is his record time and depth to the date of the card, but according to The Catalina Islander of 1926, Harrison beat that record in 1923 (after diving at Catalina since 1909). Harrison would point out or retrieve samples of sea life requested by the viewers in the glass-bottom boats, such as abalone shells and sea urchins. On the back is a list of the types of sea life that could be seen by an observer on such a boat. Sugar Loaf Rock (destroyed 1929) is in the distance behind Harrison on the left.
