On the back the message portion is headed by "What we saw at Catalina," and Adargo's record of diving for 3 minutes and 15 seconds to a depth of 56 feet. The stampbox claims that the postage required is 2 cents, which is significant, because until 1952 all domestic postcard postage was one cent except for the years 1917-1918 and 1925-1928. The back of the postcard also has a list of animals and plants that can be seen living on the seafloor.
