Although no publisher is given, a publisher or photographer's number is scratched onto this Real Photo Post Card in the lower right corner: 15-N. Precise historical detail is recorded in this picture postcard created by a process in which any photographer could take a "snapshot," deliver the negative to a photo developer and have it printed on a postcard backing. The viewpoint of the photographer is the southeast end of the beach at Avalon, looking toward the Green Pleasure Pier (1920) immediately ahead and stretching into the Bay at right. On the left and above the pier is the town of Avalon.
