Underneath the moon, fireworks spout from the top of Sugar Loaf Rock as a steamship ferry nears the Steamer Pier. The original Green Pleasure Pier is partially complete, with piers only where the boardwalk ends parallel to the shore. At the bottom just at the end of the title, people can be seen in the lighted amphitheatre, with the bottom of the incline railway that went to the top of the mountain. Toward the right on the mountain, the Peter Gano House (1890) is also it up. The motto "On the Road of a Thousand Wonders" indicates that Catalina Island was was considered a destination for a promotion of The Coast Line-Shasta Route of the Southern Pacific Railroad. Maps of the period indicate that San Pedro was on this route, from which one could catch a steamship to Catalina, with promotional booklets from 1907 and 1908. The publisher's number on the divided back is E 15.
