Green Pleasure Pier is not shown, only the "Steamer Pier" was in existence at this time. The cupola on the left toward the bottom belonged to the Holly Hill House, formerly known as Lookout Cot, built by Peter Gano in 1890. One of the steamship ferries is in the middle of the Bay. Sugar Loaf Point and Sugar Loaf Rock define the northwest edge of the Bay on the right just below the horizon. Transcription of this hurriedly written message is made especially hard by the fading of the black ink used to write it.
