This hand-colored picture postcardresembles a photograph by Charles C. Pierce, available online (call number CHS-18) at the University of Southern California Libraries Special Collections site, part of the California Historical Society Collection (glass plates). The original photograph was taken sometime between 1897 and 1905. The publisher's number on the back is 860. Untraveled, this postcard has a divided back placing its publication after March 1, 1907. The publisher stayed in business only until 1921.
