Although there is a copyright symbol toward the lower right corner, no creating entity is acknowledged on this card. On the divided back of this untraveled card, the stampbox identifies the brand of photographic paper used to develop this photograph and print it on a postcard backing. This type of Azo paper is describd as the "first stable emulsion" by the Metropolitan Postcard Club of New York City, and it was made from 1926 until the 1940s. The then owner of Santa Catalina Island built this residence in 1921, after his death converted to a bed-and-breakfast facility called the Mt. Ada Inn.
