One of the eventual two piers and a portion of Avalon Bay can be seen in this view, as well as the Peter Gano home in the middle of the hillside and almost in the middle of the photograph. Gano built the house in 1892, calling it "Lookout Cot." It later became known as "Holly Hill House." The number on the back of the card is R-55106, which, according to the guide maintained by the Curt Teich Postcard Archives, translates to 1914. The street of "street scene" is Crescent Avenue.
