At the time this card was made, there was only one town on Catalina Island, Avalon. The card has to have been made between 1904 and March, 1907, because those were the years between which postcards without a division for messages but with the words "Post Card" on the back were published. In later years, also, "Oskar" or "O." Newman would become "Newman Post Card Co." (1907-1960s). The publisher's number on the back of the card is 5013 and, like virtually all post cards distributed in the United States until 1915, it was made in Germany.
