"Rim of the World" Highway is also known as California State Route 18. Burton Frasher, Sr. photographed the Western United States from 1920 to 1955, almost coinciding with the production of the photo paper used for this Real Photo Post Card. This type of card was created by a process in which any photographer could take a "snapshot," deliver the negative to a photo developer, and have it printed on a postcard backing. The special photo papers used for this process included the brand on which this card was printed, EKC. The EKC papers were manufactured from 1930 to 1950. The publisher's number in the lower right corner is F2153.
