The homes of Hollywood movie stars have traditionally been the subjects of postcards. This home was in an area north of Los Angeles. Many postcards were constructed like this one, with a photograph of the home and an inset of a publicity photograph of the actor. In this case the actor was Mickey Rooney, a child actor who joined his parents' vaudeville act at the age of 17 months and continued his career in show business throughout his life. According to the Curt Teich Postcard Archives, the number in the right lower corner of this card, OB-H897, places its publication in 1940. The publisher's number at the top of this card is 860.
