The homes of Hollywood movie stars have traditionally been the subjects of postcards. Many postcards were constructed like this one, with a photograph of the home and an inset of a publicity photograph of the actor. In this case the actor was Jane Withers, who began her career as a child star at the age of 3. Westwood is the area of Los Angeles in which the University of California at Los Angeles is located and is the next Los Angeles community southwest of Beverly Hills. According to the Curt Teich Postcard Archives, the number in the right lower corner of this card, OB-H434, places its publication in 1940. The publisher's number in the top border of this card is 807.
