Many postcards of the homes of movie stars were constructed like this one, with a photograph of the home and an inset of a publicity photograph of the actor. In this case the actor was Myrna Loy (1905-1993), who was best known for her portrayal of Nora Charles in a series of detective thrillers about "The Thin Man." According to the Curt Teich Postcard Archives, the number in the right lower corner of this card, OB-H510, places its publication in 1940. At the time Loy was married to producer Arthur Hornblow, Jr., so this was his home as well. The publisher's number at the top of this card is 817.
