On the front endpapers of this annual is a photograph of Hepner Hall and Hardy Tower, with the gorge and parking in front of Hepner Hall. Campus life is shown from registration to commencement, including a fictitious freshman, with "Operation Frosh" showing hazing. This was Walter R. Hepner's last year as president (from 1935), and there is a "salute" to him that includes a brief biography with photographs, including shots of campus construction (pages 12-13). As the Korean War years continued, the co-editor of the annual, Bob Wohl, was drafted in the fall, and his replacement faced a "reduced budget." George Sorenson, who was art advisor to the Del Sudoeste.
