The San Diego Naval Hospital started construction in 1922 after a tent dispensary was established in 1914. More land was deeded to the Navy in subsequent years, and finally a new Naval Medical Center in Florida Canyon, east of this building, was dedicated in 1988. This is a "linen" postcard.
