C. T. Photochrom (Curt Teich)
The Hotel Botsford was on Sixth Avenue between B and C Streets, built in 1914. This picture postcard has a seal of the Panama-Callifornia Exposition of 1915 in the message area, which also has a short advertisement for the hotel. The San Diego History Center has a photograph taken in 1914 (#5564) that looks exactly the same as this (including the shoppers), but shows motor cars and a building next to the hotel on the right. This appears to be a hand-tinted photographic reproduction. It shows two people on the sidewalk looking to store windows in the front of the hotel. A postcard from the same run is in the collection of the San Diego Public Library (pc00475_box10). The Curt Teich number on the back of this card is R-47327.
